Privacy policy

What we collect

When you subscribe, we collect:

• Your name, email address and phone / WhatsApp number, which you enter at checkout.
• Subscription details: when you joined, the status of your subscription and your Stripe customer and subscription reference numbers.
• Payment confirmation from Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

When you browse the website, our servers receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it only to keep the site working and secure.

If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we keep the messages so we can reply and help you.

If you accept advertising cookies on our website, Meta also receives information about your visit and, if you subscribe, about your sign-up. See "Advertising and the Meta Pixel" below.

Why we use your data and our legal basis

• To provide the club: take your payment, add you to the WhatsApp group and send you the class link. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
• To manage subscriptions, prevent fraud and keep the website secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
• To keep accounting and tax records. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• To reconcile payments and any commissions owed to partners who helped us reach you. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
• To measure our ads with the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API, only if you accept advertising cookies. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not send marketing emails at the moment. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us run the club:

• Stripe, which processes payments and collects your checkout details.
• Our membership database (hosted by us through our web developer), where we keep your name, email, WhatsApp number and subscription records.
• Resend, which sends the notification email we receive when someone joins.
• WhatsApp (Meta), where the club group lives. Other members of the group can see your name and phone number as shown on WhatsApp.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram), only if you accept advertising cookies, for the purposes described below.
• YouTube (Google), only if you press play on the demo video. The video does not load until you click.
• Our web hosting provider and web developer, who maintain the website.

These providers act on our instructions or under their own privacy terms, and we only share what each one needs. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

Advertising and the Meta Pixel

We advertise the club on Facebook and Instagram. To measure how well our ads work, the website can use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API. This happens only if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Reject", or ignore the banner, nothing is sent to Meta.

If you accept, Meta receives your visit to our pages and actions such as starting checkout. If you then subscribe, our server also sends Meta a "purchase" event with the amount paid and your email address, phone number and name in hashed (scrambled) form, so Meta can match the sign-up to your account and show us which ads worked. Meta uses this data under its own privacy policy and may also use it to improve its advertising services. We and Meta may be joint controllers for this collection.

You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer of the website, or by emailing us. Rejecting after accepting deletes the Meta cookies from your browser, but it cannot undo data Meta already received. You can ask Meta about that through your Facebook or Instagram privacy settings.

Transfers outside the UK and EEA

Some of these providers, such as Stripe, Google and Meta, may process data in countries outside the UK and the EEA, including the United States. When that happens we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses (or the UK equivalent) so your data stays protected.

How long we keep it

• Subscription and member details: while you are a member and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting and tax records (usually up to six years).
• Messages with us: as long as needed to help you, then deleted when no longer necessary.
• Server logs: only for a short period, for security and troubleshooting.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of your data.
• Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
• Delete your data, where we have no legal reason to keep it.
• Restrict or object to how we use it.
• Send your data to you or another provider in a portable format.
• Stop any processing based on your consent.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). If you live in Spain or elsewhere in the EU, you can also contact your local data protection authority, such as the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).

Children

The club is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If the changes are important, we will let members know.
